  1. Yes. A step outside of our heads, our fears and our limited space DOES give us a new perspective and gets us back on track. Oh my friend, I just cannot wait to see you today!!!!!!!!!! Anita

  2. Oh so true! A little reminder to live and love and get rid of the rest.

I hope that you have a fabulous day with Anita! I am so jealous! I wish I could meet up with you too! Perhaps in the summer when you visit Wisconsin.

    Enjoy your day, happy Sunday!

  3. I have this amazing quote from Walt Whitman on my desk. It is a daily reminder for me to keep out the negative and inhale the positive. I LOVE this quote (and of course, I believe I am one of biggest quote fanatics in the world). :) Lovely post, Irina.... you are an inspiration. xo

  7. Sometimes Irina all it takes is to take a step outside of where you are and just sit still and be...but it is one of the hardest things to remember to do...I will think of this next time I need to clear my head or take a break...We have been having a strange summer this year...more cloudy days than sunny days...even cool days...very strange...Hope you are well in your part of the world...Dzintra xoxox

  9. Walt Whitman, one of my fav's for sure. So much to think of with a quote that seems so simple. At first glance, seems like a good idea to dismiss what insults our soul, but when you really think of it, it is our very soul (mind/emotions) that typically insults and betrays us, working against our spirit. LOVE it when a quote does that, makes us look twice. :)
ALWAYS a pleasure visiting you, my dear Irina. I am so glad to hear my parents' story of love in details blessed you.
    Much love.

  15. I must have missed this one, Irina
I see that Dumbledore and Walt Whitman had a lot in common. I could mistake either one of them for each other AND their 'wise' thoughts. For it was Dumbledore who told Harry Potter 'It's not our abilities which make us who we truly are, it is our choices'. (That's not the exact quote but something similar). I love walking along the ocean on the sand. It is a truly calming pleasure...the fresh air, the sea breeze, the keening of sea gulls. Thank you for the reminder to have time to relax and enjoy the view for the soul.
    Have a blessed weekend!
