  3. Hello Irina,
Oh how we have missed you and what a glorious post from you to greet our return.

Matisse is one of our favourite artists. Such a confident control of colour and form. Delightful!

And, what an apt quotation. Indeed, we find ourselves always drawn to people who are unfair aid of convention, throw caution to the wind and are totally themselves. We find such individuality refreshing if not exhausting at times!

We do so hope that you are well and enjoying life to the full in your own highly original way!

  4. How I love this quote; it is so true that an artist must listen, watch, taste, smell and feel what is around her or him in order to be true to the muse. OH if I could just learn this!!!!!!

Thank you my dear friend for coming to visit! LOVE YOU!

Thank you for coming by again today! WOW, another chiller, huh? It makes me want to just stay HOME! But reading your post last night was such a treat, knowing that color and gardening, fresh fruits and fresh air await us. I like what dearest Lady said about you painting a citrus still! TRY IT!!!!!!!! OK, now off to your email.

  6. Oh, there's this sweet man again. I love what he says about art. Isn't that the truth?

I wanted to let you know that the flowers on my post today aren't poppies, and not sure what they are. I saw them outside a restaurant that I went to, and they were a lovely orange so had to take a picture of them. Speaking of orange.......this painting is such a pretty one.

    Have a very nice weekend.

    Love,
    ~Sheri

  8. Never a prisoner, indeed. The freer the soul of an artist, the more he/she is able to communicate. A piece turns to masterpiece only when it has the ability to abide in a human heart. Impossible if its maker is bound.
Loved visiting as always, my beautiful friend.
    xoxo

  12. Thank you for visiting me dear Irina!
It is another crazy year, going by too fast. I'm trying to smell the roses as I journey down life's road. And smell the oranges and colorful art work by Matisse. The artist soul in us is ever in motion, isn't it? Never a dull moment in our brain with lots of hope interspersed with creativity.
    take care,
    love
    Teresa
