  1. Hello Irina:
It is the words of e.e. cummings, a poet we very much admire and whose work we find always of interest and meaning, that particularly appeal to us in this post.

We very much hope that you are enjoying a relaxing late summer weekend.

  2. Hello Irina!
A substantial piece of wisdom with which to start the week.......it can be quite a challenge to comfortably engage with every experience!

    Wishing you a joyful week,

  3. And in my own way, I am a fighter too, and a feisty one at that. I saw it in my mother who while she was dying, was fighting not to keep LIVING, but to die having lived bravely. I saw it in my father who never gave up even when his breath was compromised. Taking his small oxygen can around the block for his daily walked while living with lung cancer spoke volumes of perseverance.

Now it is my turn. How will I be different? How will I demonstrate perseverance in the face of change? Only day by day will tell but I confess that while it is a lonely journey, having friends along the way like you make the trajectory into a new phase of life worth the effort. Anita

  5. Good morning and happy Sunday my dear friend!

How are you? I have been thinking of you all week! I hope that you are well and that you have your daughter settled and ready to go to school. Hard to believe it is September!

I am so looking forward to Fall and the holidays and of course Paris! I cannot wait. I would be more than happy to bring you something back if there is something that you miss from there!

    Are you enjoying the weekend?

I love this quote, so true.

Have a great day, xoxo Elizabeth

  7. Good morning beautiful friend....

I cannot get over how your sentiments here coincide with my next post. AND you are playing a cello piece that makes my heart strings weep with joy.....shhhhhhhh.....don't let a certain little "film maker" hear that!!!!

Thank you for revisiting my blog. As you can see, the photos have been reduced a tad. I think they are nice that way. AND THE DIVINE MISS M.!!!!!!! I LOVE HER. I know she can get a bit RAW at times, but the woman has the ability to make you LAUGH, ROLL YOUR EYES and CRY. Now that is an artist! How fortunate that you were able to get such close seating for your mother! I bet she was just thrilled!

    LOVE! Anita

  9. Surely, when you get used to painful situation, in actuality-you learn to be comfortable with the discomfort.
